Description:

InfoReady produces software used by over 150 colleges and universities across the United States and around the world. Institutions use our software for many different things: Deciding which professors get grant funding; signing up students for summer camps; interactive course catalogs; raising money from alumni; dozens of other things. We are a fast-growing startup with about 20 employees.

The company seeks a high-energy, driven professional, with natural sales instincts to join our organization as a Business Development Representative. This individual will act as a critical part of a national sales team by reaching out to colleges and universities to chat with them about ways that they can use our software. Ideal candidate should be eager to advance in our organization by demonstrating the ability to be a self-starter every day.

Responsibilities

  • Evangelize InfoReady and technology available to institutions of higher education

  • Create and prioritize strategic target accounts and lists

  • Research and build new and existing accounts (i.e. adding contacts, sending emails, strategic calling)

  • Conduct meaningful conversations with researched prospects

  • Achieve monthly quotas of qualified opportunities and closed business

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • 1-2 years of full-time sales experience (Software sales is a plus)

  • 6 months plus of prospecting experience

  • Or, we will consider recent college grads with strong sales internship experience

  • A degree in sales, marketing, or general business

  • Inside sales experience is a plus

  • Higher Ed or Enterprise prospecting experience a plus

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Motivation, drive and a self-starting attitude

  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced, fluid environment
